Fish Soup

In large soup pot

  • Make stock – make stock with lobster soup base, celery leaf , chopped onion, entire chopped garlic, fresh basil, fresh oregano,  carrots, lemon juice, etc
  • Have chopped and ready to go:
    • 1 medium onion – finely diced
    • 30 okra, remove ends, chop in thirds
    • 3 large tomatoes – core and slice
    • 2 peeled and chopped large potatoes
    • 4, peeled and chopped carrots
    • 2 x 12oz (I used cans) of coconut milk
    • Steelhead fillet – fillet of large fish –   chopped into okra size pieces (Tried salmon – makes soup too fishy)
    • Bag o’ noodles
  • Strain stock veggies and rebuild with second batch fresh veggies:
    • Combine:  onion, potato & coconut milk – simmer for 10 minutes
    • Combine: okra, tomato, carrots – simmer for 20 minutes
    • Combine: noodles – cook slightly less than time on package
    • Salt/Pepper/Season to taste – continue this for 5 minutes.. or not
  • Heat to rolling boil
    • Combine: fish
  • Cook 5 minutes & serve
